Physical violence is a type of violence that has been stated in Permendikbudristek No. 55 of 2024, in the regulation there are six focuses of violence with the dominance of physical violence being the most frequent occurrence. Therefore, in this case the solution provided is a preventive measure going forward by adhering to the principle of thinking ahead, this aims to ensure that preventive and handling measures taken by the Higher Education Service Institutions Region VII can be effective and to encourage Higher Education Institutions to form a Violence Task Force. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to obtain more objective research results by conducting interviews, observations, and documentation. So it can be concluded that preventive and handling measures can be carried out by prioritizing the principle of thinking ahead, as a reference for identifying or preparing forms of violence prevention in the long term. Therefore, it is hoped that each Higher Education Service Institution can maximize the efforts of Region VII Higher Education Service Institutions in anticipating physical violence as one of the most frequent types of violence in the East Java region.
